I am supposed to go to Russia in December for a wedding. I would like to learn the language before I go so that I can communicate with the locals since I’ll be there for 4 days. I’ve already found a software to help me learn. It even has an interactive feature to tell me if I pronounce the words properly. My question is, if I practice 3 days a week ( I don’t have much more time than that due to work) for between 1 and 2 hours, how much would I be able to learn by December? I catch on quick – I taught myself Spanish the same way.. I know its a complex language with a completely different alphabet and everything so I was just curious how long it takes most people to learn the language?
