I know I would and I’ll tell you why.

Best way to learn a new language?

toetheline29 asked:

What is the best way to learn a new language? I already speak Spanish, thanks to classes at my high school (and I speak English, obviously), and am thinking about learning French. Complete immersion in a new language is not possible (since I can’t up and move to France), and there’s not a large community of people who speak French in my area. I’m reluctant to take classes at a local community college because I’m concerned about the quality of the teacher and also, I’m a senior in high school and wouldn’t I have to report any classes I take at a college have to be reported to any universities I’ve applied to? Computer software is expensive, and I worry about the quality of the education it can provide (since it can’t tell you how your pronunciation is, etc). Have I overlooked a method? Or is one of the ones I listed more feasible than I realize?

Thanks!
Interesting that you say that, Allan F. Actually, my high school Spanish has worked out surprisingly well; I’ve been to Spain and Costa Rica and got along just fine (I understood the people, and they understood me).
