Are there any good sofware programs for teaching CONVERSATIONAL French, Spanish, or Italian?

intuition897 asked:

Ideally, it’s best to immerse one’s self in a situation where you either learn to speak the language or you starve to death.. lol You pick it up very quickly. But my options are fairly limited in this respect, living where I do. Is there a voice recognition software that teaches you to properly pronounce words, and “converse” fluidly and easily in other languages? I would LOVE to find something like this.
I have taken French all through school, K-12, so I have a good fundamental understanding of it. Just don’t have any practical experience using it. I need to learn by doing.

I have been self-studying French. From the different books and manuals I used, I found Random House Living Language to be the best. They teach it in a very conversational style, which starts out with basics and explanations in the book. A CD comes with the package so you can follow along and work on your pronunciation. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn at a faster pace.

The best language leraning program I have ever seen can be found at The lessons they teach are for everyday communication, and its very easy to use and really interactive such as audio clips that pronounce all the words. There is a tool where you have to speak the word properly to pass the test.
