Learn Spanish Software: The Fastest Method of Learning Spanish?

Learn Spanish Software: The Fastest Method of Learning Spanish?

Learn Spanish Software Programs have become the first choice for many people who want to speak Spanish and there are a number of reasons why this style of studying has jumped above the more traditional methods that have been utilized for a long time.

One of the most commonly mentioned reasons that people decide to use a learn Spanish software program is that they are the easiest and most flexible way of learning Spanish.

People just do not have the same amount of free time that they used to have. In previous generations it was quite simple to be able to sign up for an evening class and work around it’s timetable in order to learn Spanish but today, many people have much busier lifestyle that doesn’t allow a person to make that type of commitment on an ongoing basis.

Of course, there were individuals who were previously in the same situation and the only option available to them was to use a self study book or an audio course, both of which were effective to a certain point and they did provide the versatility required.

Today’s modern society advocates the wide use of the internet as a tool used for education and the design and development of Learn Spanish Software Programs has meant that self study books and audio courses are only used by those who are either not computer savvy or by those who prefer a physical product than one that is available over the internet.

Online Spanish language courses offer all that is required to attain fast results; flexibility, structured teaching, interactivity, audio and video lessons, learning games and quizes, video flashcards for teaching vocabulary, support, community forums as well as regular updates that keep each program fresh and modern. It is understandable why these courses have become so popular.

The quickest method used to learn the Spanish language is, without question, to go on an immersion course but, these courses are normally beyond that which many individuals can comfortably afford to pay and will also require the student to take a long leave of absence from work or home to attend which isn’t feasible for most who are interested.

This is another reason for the success of the Learn Spanish Software Program as results are achieved much faster than those achieved with classroom courses or, with the use of self tuition books and are far more affordable than an immersion course. A lot of the success of Spanish Software Programs is due to the numerous methods of teaching Spanish that they utilize and they are also very enjoyable to use, and the more fun you have on your education the better and faster the results will be.

Learning Spanish Numbers up to 1000

Learning Spanish Numbers

When learning the Spanish language, or any language for that fact, one of the first things you will always learn is how to count and pronounce numbers.

Numbers in Spanish are relatively easy to learn but they can be confusing for beginners to Spanish because when a number has more than one part in English it is often formed completely differently in Spanish. It is always best to start with numbers one to fifteen first.

  • uno = one – pronounced ‘oono’
  • dos = two – pronounced ‘doss’
  • tres = three – ‘trayz’
  • cuatro = four – ‘kwatro’
  • cinco = five – ‘sinko’
  • seis = six – ‘sayz’
  • siete = seven – ‘see-etay’
  • ocho = eight – ‘otcho’
  • nueve = nine – ‘nooaybay’
  • diez = ten – ‘dee-es’
  • once = eleven – ‘on-say’
  • doce = twelve – ‘doh-say’
  • trece = thirteen – ‘tray-say’
  • catorce = fourteen – ‘kat-or-say’
  • quince = fifteen – ‘kin-say’

When you are comfortable with the first fifteen numbers move onto sixteen to thirty. Before you do there is one more difference between numbers in English and those in Spanish and that is that gender plays a part.

Certain Spanish numbers take on a gender change when referring to feminine and masculine subjects. In numbers running up to two hundred a gender change occurs in every number ending in one, apart from the number eleven…so uno can be una when used to refer to a feminine subject.

  • dieciséis = sixteen – ‘dee-esee-says’ (this can also be written ‘diez y seis’)
  • diecisiete = seventeen – ‘dee-esee-see-etay’ (this can also be written ‘diez y siete’)
  • dieciocho = eighteen – ‘dee-esee-otcho’ (this can also be written ‘diez y ocho’)
  • diecinueve = nineteen – ‘dee-esee-nooaybay’ (this can also be written ‘diez y nueve’)
  • veinte = twenty – ‘bayntay’
  • veintiuno = twenty one – ‘bayntee-oono’ (or una ‘oona’ depending on gender)
  • veintidós = twenty two – ‘bayntee-doss’
  • veintitrés = twenty three – ‘bayntee-trayz’
  • veinticuatro = twenty four – ‘bayntee-kwatro’
  • veinticinco = twenty five – ‘bayntee-sinko’
  • veintiséis = twenty six – ‘bayntee-sayz’
  • veintisiete = twenty seven – ‘bayntee-see-etay’
  • veintiocho = twenty eight – ‘bayntee-’otcho’
  • veintinueve = twenty nine – ‘bayntee-nooaybay’

Each increment in tens is formed differently to the formation in the twenties as the adjoining ‘i‘ is dropped and in its place a ‘y‘ is used and the two numbers are seperated.

  • treinta = thirty – ‘bayntee-oono’ (or una ‘oona’ depending on gender)
  • treinta y uno = thirty one – ‘traynta-ee-oono’ (or una ‘oona’ depending on gender)
  • treinta y dos = thirty two – ‘traynta-ee-doss’
  • treinta y tres = thirty three – ‘traynta-ee-trayz’
  • cuarenta = forty – ‘kwaraynta’
  • cuarenta y uno = forty one – ‘kwaraynta-ee-oono’ (or una ‘oona’ depending on gender)
  • cuarenta y dos = forty two – ‘kwaraynta-ee-doss’
  • cincuenta = fifty – ‘sinkwenta’
  • sesenta = sixty – ‘says-senta’
  • setenta = seventy – ‘set-tenta’
  • ochenta = eighty – ‘otch-enta’
  • noventa = ninety – ‘norb-enta’
  • ciento = one hundred – ‘see-ento’
  • ciento uno = 101 – ‘see-ento oono’ (or una ‘oona’ depending on gender)
  • ciento dos = 102 – ‘see-ento doss’
  • ciento tres = 103 – ‘see-ento trayz’
  • ciento diez = 110 – ‘see-ento dee-es’

Gender change can also affect all numbers relating to multiples of 100.

  • doscientos = 200 – ‘doss-see-ent-oss’ could also be doscientas
  • doscientos uno = 201 – ‘doss-see-ent-oss oono’ could be doscientas una
  • doscientos dos = 202 – ‘doss-see-ent-oss doss’
  • doscientos cuarenta y uno = 241 – ‘doss-see-ent-oss kwaraynta-ee-oono’

…and this pattern continues…

  • trescientos = 300 – ‘tray-see-ent-oss’
  • cuatrocientos = 400 – ‘kwat-tro-see-ent-oss’
  • quinientos = 500 – ‘kwin-ee-ent-oss’
  • seiscientos = 600 – ‘says-ee-ent-oss’
  • setecientos = 700 – ‘set-ay-see-ent-oss’
  • ochocientos = 800 – ‘otcho-see-ent-oss’
  • novecientos = 900 – ‘nor-bay-see-ent-oss’
  • mil = 1000 – ‘meel’

Note: All numbers ending in uno are shortened to un when they precede a noun that is masculine and ciento is shortened to cien when it immediately precedes a noun of either gender. For example: un hombre = one man and, una pluma = one pen.

What are the Best Spanish Learning Programs?

What are the Best Spanish Learning Programs?

Best Spanish Learning Programs

Best Spanish Learning Programs

Most people want to know which are the best Spanish learning programs to help them learn Spanish as quickly and as problem free as possible and this is because most now look towards their computer and the internet for help rather than the traditional methods of classroom tuition and the self study book, both of which have been seriously undermined by the flexibility and interactivity of software based courses.

Declaring one Spanish course better than another is never that easy as most courses are designed differently; most use different techniques to teach their students, they can  target either conversational or grammatical tuition, they may cost a lot or be very affordable, in short…whatever aspect of a course is important to one person may be totally irrelevant to another.

It is for the reason of personal preference that the question of which are the best Spanish learning programs cannot be answered here. In order to answer this question correctly it is down to each individual to list what they specifically need from a course. These criteria should include but are not exclusively: conversational or grammatical, cost, support, quality of material and interaction.

Researching the many courses available is important and this should not be attempted without knowing the criteria a course needs to fill in order to be the perfect fit for the individual person.

However, if you were to ask most people what they want from a Spanish course they would say fast results, enjoyable tuition, excellent course material that includes audio that uses native Spanish speakers, high interaction levels, good support network and all this at an affordable price and this would provide one of the best Spanish learning programs they could wish to have!

The stumbling block for many courses that offer all of the criteria listed in the previous paragraph would be the affordable price, as most courses that offer everything stated are quite expensive but there are budget priced courses available such as Rocket Spanish, Learning Spanish Like Crazy and Visual link that offer courses a lot better than their comparatively low price tag would suggest you would be getting!

You can read more information about these specific courses in the reviews directly below (or possibly above!) this post.
